Are you ready to dive further into the world of John Wick? It’s time for the prequel series, The Continental: From the World of John Wick. Now you just need to know how many episodes are in this series.

You don’t need to watch the John Wick movies* first. Don’t worry if you’re not caught up in the franchise. This is a prequel series, which means we’re going into this without knowing the majority of the characters. There are two from the movies you’ll recognize, but this series is about the events that lead to them becoming the men we know them as in the movies.

It’s also a limited series. At least, that’s the way it’s billed. After this, we can believe that it’s a straight line for how the New York branch of The Continental turned out to be in the John Wick movies.

The Continental: From the World of John Wick episode count

So, just how many episodes are in this limited series? There are only three episodes.

However, each episode is feature-length. Yes, they are 90-minute episodes, very similar to the Sherlock Holmes series from the BBC. It’s going to feel much longer than it really is thanks to the episode count, and there is plenty of time to really get into the story of how Winston became the proprietor of The Continental that we know him as in the Keanu Reeves movies.

The episodes will be released weekly. The first episode drops on Friday, Sept. 22. There will be one episode the week after that and then the third and final episode will air on Friday, Oct. 6.
