The Expanse Season 6 finally has a premiere date and teaser. We also got the bad news that it’s an exceptionally short season.
New York Comic-Con is going on right now, and The Expanse got a panel on Friday, Oct. 8. This meant a premiere date and teaser announced.
The great news is we’ll see the final season premiere on Friday, Dec. 10. We’re getting another weekly release format. This is the way Amazon is going with a lot of shows as more productions ask for a weekly release format on the streaming platforms. There was some bad news along with the release date and teaser. We found out that the rumors about the exceptionally short season are true.

How many episodes will The Expanse Season 6 have?
The Expanse Season 6 is going to be the shortest season ever. It will only have six episodes.
Yes, six episodes! For the final season!
This isn’t all that surprising for those who caught the rumors. Filming was just a few months long, only long enough to get seven or eight episodes in normal times. With pandemic protocols, it was clear that only six episodes would work out.
The good news is the season is going to be packed with action. It’s all about the fight against Marco, and it’s time to see if the remaining Roci crew will be able to take down the Belters and bring peace to the universe.
