The Flash Season 9 is happening, but it was missing from The CW’s fall schedule. When will the season premiere, and will it be the last?

The CW has certainly thrown us a curveball this year. So many shows were abruptly canceled, but The Flash wasn’t one of them. Instead, the superhero series was one of those renewed early.

What was a surprise was when the series wasn’t on the fall 2022 schedule. It’s nowhere to be seen, with The CW choosing to hold it until the midseason. What does this mean for the show? Is it a sign that it’s going to be the last season?

When is The Flash Season 9 premiere on The CW?

We’re not expecting The Flash Season 9 to premiere at all in 2022. The show is held for the midseason, and that means it’s getting pushed to January 2023 at the earliest.

We won’t get the midseason premiere dates for a while, though. It’s going to be around November when the networks start to look at midseason premiere dates and schedules. January is just the earliest that it’s going to be.

So, will it be the final season? At this point, it doesn’t look like it, but anything could change. Riverdale Season 7 is confirmed as the final season. We’d hope that if there were signs to bring The Flash to an end, there would be a final season order given. This is a show that deserves to go out with a bang.
