HBO will bring The Last of Us Episode 5 at an earlier time due to the Super Bowl. Here’s all you need to know about the release.
There is no doubt that the Super Bowl is one of the biggest sporting events of the year. Nothing goes up against the timeslot each year, and even HBO agrees with that. While a lot of networks are putting their shows on hold for the night, HBO is opting for an earlier release.
The Last of Us has become one of the biggest and best HBO shows in recent years. It follows game play close enough for many of us who grew up playing it. At the same time, it adds layers to the storytelling, which works for TV. Now we’re ready for another episode, and HBO won’t disappoint.
What time is The Last of Us Episode 5 coming to HBO?
HBO and HBO Max will get the new episode on Friday night at 9 p.m. ET. Yes, that is two days early, so you’ll be able to enjoy it whenever you want during the weekend.
It’s worth noting that this is only on the streamer. If you watch on the HBO channel, you’ll still need to wait until 9 p.m. ET/PT on Sunday, Feb. 12.
What about on Crave in Canada? We could see it arrive early like on HBO Max and HBO. That wasn’t confirmed at the time of writing this, but we’re keeping an eye on things.
