The story follows Hannah, a woman who thought she knew everything about her husband. The only thing she was struggling with was finding a happy medium with her stepdaughter. Then everything changed when she got back home to find her husband gone. All that is left is a note to protect her stepdaughter, who happened to have a bag full of cash her dad left in her locker for her.

What’s going on? That’s what everyone is trying to figure out, and it’s certainly taking Hannah and Bailey on a series of mysterious twists and turns.

Is The Last Thing He Told Me a book?

If you think the story sounds familiar, that’s because it is. The novel of the same name by Laura Dave is the book that this series is based on. It didn’t take long after the release of the novel for it to be optioned.

This is a standalone story. All the answers are revealed at the end, so if you want to see how it all ends before the show gets there, you’ll want to jump straight into the story.

The Apple TV+ series is a limited series. That’s not surprising when you consider that the book has an ending. This wouldn’t work with a cliffhanger at the end, and it certainly wouldn’t work dragged out with more twists and turns along the way.
