The Marvelous Mrs Maisel Season 5 will be the last

Prime Video has renewed The Marvelous Mrs Maisel. It comes with some bad news. The Marvelous Mrs Maisel Season 5 is the last.

All good things eventually have to come to an end. We’d all rather see a series end on good terms instead of being dragged to its death—a death that we’re all just begging for. We’d also rather see a series end on a high instead of questioning what the hell the writers were doing to wrap up the story—Game of Thrones we are certainly not looking at you for that!

The time has come to say goodbye to Midge Maisel. Well, it’s almost time. The Marvelous Mrs Maisel Season 5 will happen, but it will be the last, according to TVLine.

Why is The Marvelous Mrs Maisel Season 5 the last?

This isn’t necessarily a Prime Video decision. After all, why would Prime Video want to get rid of one of its best performers? It’s not just a performer in the views, but also a performer at the awards.

So, we turn to the creators, Amy Sherman-Palladino and Dan Palladino. It looks like the two of them have decided it’s time to wrap Midge’s story.

In a way, we saw this coming. It was during the pandemic that Sherman-Palladino admitted that she needed to rethink the end. This was never a story that could just disappear and be canceled. It wasn’t a story that could just continue over and over with no resolution. Midge needed to reach the endpoint of her story, and we need to see that happen.

The pandemic may have sped things up a little. Filming Season 4 was hard. However, it’s possible that we’re just getting the ending that our creators envisioned.
