The Umbrella Academy Season 3 has only just dropped on Netflix, but we’re looking at the hope of more episodes. Will Season 4 happen?

After a two-year wait, The Umbrella Academy finally dropped its third season. We picked up in the present day, but everything had changed. The Umbrellas were no longer Sir Reginald Hargreeves’s children. Instead, he formed The Sparrow Academy with only Ben as the same as the original seven.

It turned out there was another apocalypse event. Would the Umbrellas and the Sparrows be able to work together to prevent this event? Would it have to happen and bring an end to the entire series? No spoilers here, but you’ll definitely want to check out how it all played out.

Will The Umbrella Academy Season 4 happen at Netflix?

Without spoiling the ending, there is room for more storytelling. At the same time, the ending could work as a series finale if necessary. Yes, it leaves a lot open for the characters, but it’s one of those “we can imagine what happened next” sort of ending.

This ending was likely done on purpose. After all, Netflix has a very bad habit of cancelling shows after three seasons. This is the point where the shows get exponentially more expensive, and Netflix is struggling financially at the moment. It’s losing subscribers, and that could lead to the more expensive shows being cancelled.

Honestly, maybe Netflix just needs to get rid of the fluff. There are a lot of shows that don’t get the attention they deserve because there’s just too much on Netflix at once. Be more like Prime Video and Hulu focusing on quality and not quantity.

It is possible that The Umbrella Academy* will be cancelled. At the same time, it’s clear there are still more storylines to tell if the show is renewed. I’m on the fence for this one.
