When is The Witcher Season 2 coming to Netflix?
Netflix has given us the premiere date for The Witcher Season 2. Here’s everything you need to know about the new season.
July 9 was all about The Witcher. Netflix made a number of announcements, including offering us the release date for the season. Yes, we now know when The Witcher Season 2 is coming to Netflix.
We already knew that it was coming in Q4 of 2021. We’d suspected that December would be the date. This allows the show plenty of time to get through the post-production stage, and spreads out the little of the big content available to Netflix this year.
December it is. The Witcher Season 2 is coming to Netflix on Friday, Dec. 17. That’s almost two years since the release of the season.

What is The Witcher Season 2 about?
As well as getting the premiere date, Netflix also gave us a look at what to expect from the season. We got both a synopsis and a promo.
Geralt is convinced that Yennefer died at the Battle of Sodden, and now he needs to look after Princess Cirilla. He decides to head to the safest place he knows to keep Ciri protected, which means heading back to his childhood home of Kaer Morhen.
Of course, there are plenty of people still after Ciri. The humans, elves, demons, and more will converge outside the walls of Kaer Morhen, while Geralt tries to help Ciri understand her power.
Take a look at the promo for the season to get a good look at the things to expect.
There isn’t anything about Yennefer in the breakdown. We know that she’s survived based on photos from the season, but what situation is she in now?
