The networks are starting to make some cancellation and renewal decisions. Is United States of Al canceled or renewed for Season 3?
There has been some excellent news from CBS in recent weeks. We found out that The Equalizer and all three FBI shows were renewed for not just one season but two each. Of course, we knew the good news would have to be followed by bad news.
There are still a few shows on the bubble. Decisions are starting to be made. What’s going on with some of them, especially the comedies?
Is United States of Al canceled?
There is some bad news about the sophomore comedy United States of Al. The series has been canceled. There will be no third season for the series.
This decision isn’t surprising in terms of the ratings, but it is disappointing. However, the networks are businesses and they need to make decisions based on those who are watching live to keep the advertisers interested.
United States of Al is ranked fifth out of seven comedies on CBS, according to TVLine. There are a few other Thursday night comedies still on the bubble, including B Positive and How We Roll. So far, comedies that have been renewed are Young Sheldon, Ghosts, Bob Hearts Abishola, and The Neighborhood. Young Sheldon was renewed through to Season 7, while the other three have scored one-season renewals.
