Vikings: Valhalla Season 2 and Season 3 are officially confirmed

We had a feeling Vikings: Valhalla Season 2 was happening. Netflix has now confirmed that is the case, along with Season 3.

When Netflix first picked up Vikings: Valhalla, it was for 24 episodes. The first season dropped last month with just eight episodes. It was very clear from the start that we’d get three seasons of the series at the very least. There is always the chance for more seasons, but we know Netflix has a habit of canceling after three or four seasons.

That being said, Netflix has now confirmed the second season is going to happen. It’s also confirmed the third season is going to happen. We know both seasons will have eight episodes each.

When is Vikings: Valhalla Season 2 coming to Netflix?

When announcing that the second season was happening, Netflix also confirmed in the press release that filming was complete. We already knew this information. It was confirmed at the end of 2021.

However, we won’t get to see the new season this year. It’s going to arrive sometime in 2023. This is disappointing, but there’s a good chance that it will be at the start of 2023. Is there a chance we’ll see seasons drop in February of each year?

Vikings: Valhalla Season 3 filming starts soon

On top of that, Netflix treated us to the news that the third season will start filming very soon. The statement is that it will film in the “spring,” which means that it will probably wrap sometime in fall or winter of this year.

Don’t expect the season next year, though. If Season 2 isn’t arriving until 2023, we’re probably not going to see the third season until 2024. We’d love for Netflix to treat us to new episodes early, though!
