Warrior Nun fans can rejoice. The fight to save the series has worked. Here are all the details we know about it.
It’s not often we get to see a Netflix show saved after being canceled. There are so many limitations in the contracts which stop the shows from going to other streaming homes. Yet, the Warrior Nun fans can rejoice in the latest decision.
Dean English, EP of the series and the one who found the graphic novels to adapt, shared that there will be a trilogy of movies. This is great news for those who know there was far more to tell within the universe than Netflix allowed.
What will the Warrior Nun movies look like?
This is where we run into some issues. There are no details about the movies, including the characters they’ll follow or where they’ll be released. A lot of the reasoning behind that is the current SAG-AFTRA strike. Work cannot be done on SAG-AFTRA projects during this time.
That doesn’t stop the ideas coming, though. It doesn’t stop the fans petitioning for more.
English shared that there is a Halo Bearer email list. This is something worth signing up to for all the information that comes about the series. You’ll get to know all about it as soon as it’s released. English promises a lot of information to come for the fans who have been loyal to the series.
One thing we don’t know is if the trilogy of movies will go to Netflix or another streaming home. It would make sense for Netflix to agree to a trilogy of movies despite not giving the show another full season. However, the show may have found a new home.
