Warrior Nun is the next supernatural Netflix Original you’ll need to check out
Love Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Supernatural? You’re sure to find the Warrior Nun trailer intriguing. It’s the next supernatural Netflix show to watch.
Are you looking for a supernatural show to get your fantasy fix? While you could rewatch Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Supernatural right now, you could opt for combining the two. At least, that’s the look of Warrior Nun based on the trailer.
The new Netflix Original is set to stream on July 2. The trailer gives an interesting look at the story to come, offering certainly a look at a combination of two great shows. Yet, at the same time, there are plenty of elements that look unique enough to enjoy the show.
Warrior Nun offers a fight against evil
In fact, there are parts of the trailer that make me think of Preacher, Hunters, Hanna, and even Superstition. There is a look of humor mixed within the fantasy, which will certainly draw in a slightly different crowd.
Alba Baptista stars as Ava, a young girl who constantly thinks of dying. One day, that happens. It’s not the end for 19-year-old Ava, though. She’s brought back to life with a divine artifact embedded into her back. She has been chosen to fight as part of an ancient order protecting the Earth from demons. She’ll work with a team of other warriors, who are trained together to fight against the evil in the world.
Of course, there’s something a little different about Ava. She’s a non-believer, which surprises many. On top of that, she’s one of the most powerful members ever seen. That means those who lead Heaven and Hell want to control her, but will the order be able to protect her? Does the order even care?
Tristán Ulloa, Kristina Tonteri-Young, Lorena Andrea, Toya Turner, and Thekla Reuten also star in Warrior Nun.
