How to watch Monsterland online: Hulu? Netflix? Amazon Prime?

Monsterland is the perfect series to check out this October. Is it available on Hulu? Netflix? Here’s all you need to know.

There are some excellent TV shows to watch in October 2020. If you’re interested in anthology shows and love horror, Monsterland is going to be for you.

The big question for many is where to stream it. You’ll also want to know what Monsterland is about. Here’s everything you need to know.

What to expect on the new horror anthology

Monsterland is an eight-episode series. Every episode is different, set in a new town and following a new creature or legend. It’s based on Nathan Ballingrud’s North American Lake Monsters.

Much of the show is focused on women, and complex women. This isn’t about women making ridiculous choices in the face of some sort of killer. The show focuses on the female characters’ flaws, as they learn from mistakes, make difficult choices, and don’t necessarily end up as people you’ll like.

Where to stream Monsterland online

The series is a Hulu Original. That means there’s only one place to watch it in the United States: Hulu.

All eight episodes of the series will be available as a binge-watch. You can stream right this second with your Hulu subscription.

If you’re in Canada, the show will come to Crave to stream online eventually. It’s going to take some time, though. You’ll need to wait until Oct. 31 to watch the first five episodes. The last three will come sometime in November, as the episodes are airing weekly on CTV Drama Channel, first.

Will you get Monsterland on DVD and Blu-ray?

Some Hulu Originals do make their way to DVD and Blu-ray. This is often the case with the bigger originals, like The Handmaid’s Tale. However, it’s starting to happen less and less.

With so many streaming services, Hulu wants to make as many of its originals as exclusive as possible. It’s possible that’s going to be the case with this horror anthology.

What about buying it on Digital? It’s possible the show won’t be available to buy. Again, it’s all about keeping the show exclusive to the streaming service. It’s a direction many streamers are taking now unless the production studio wants to run it on Digital or DVD.
