We are into the summer break, but we know that NCIS: Hawaii Season 3 will eventually happen. When will the season premiere on CBS?

Earlier this year, CBS renewed NCIS: Hawaii for a third season. It’s great news for fans, especially with the ending of NCIS: Los Angeles.

We’ve recently learned that LL Cool J will be a part of the story. He’s getting a special recurring guest spot on the series, reprising Sam Hana from the LA series. That’s not surprising considering Sam clearly enjoyed working with the Hawaii team in the three-series crossover event and saved Jane and Whistler in the Season 2 finale.

So, now all eyes are on when we can get that third season. What does CBS have planned for a premiere date?

NCIS: Hawaii Season 3 premiere date on CBS

This is where we have some bad news. While CBS has confirmed that NCIS: Hawaii Season 3 will premiere in the fall, we don’t have a date. Usually, we would say late September, but that doesn’t look likely this year.

The writers strike is still going on and the actors may strike in July. Production is going to be disrupted on almost all scripted shows, and it’s likely to push back premiere dates on broadcast networks. ABC is even planning for that with a fall schedule that is made up entirely of unscripted shows. We’ll see the scripted shows return in 2024.

We could see something similar happen on CBS. Or CBS may do something like during the pandemic and premiere shows as it can in the late fall.
