The three One Chicago shows are taking a night off tonight. In fact, they’re taking a few weeks off. When will the shows return with new episodes?

If you were hoping for new episodes of Chicago Med*, Chicago Fire*, and Chicago PD*, there’s some bad news tonight. There is not a new episode on Wednesday, April 12.

That isn’t going to be surprising if you watched the promos for the new episodes of all three shows. The promo for all three shows made it clear that there will not be a new episode at all for the rest of April. The shows will return in May.

There will be reruns on throughout the three shows for the first two weeks of the break. The next week will see a special to start off the night but a rerun of Chicago PD to end it.

When will the One Chicago shows air in May?

The break is for the rest of April. All three One Chicago shows will return on Wednesday, May 3.

This is a standard break this time of year. NBC noted to TVLine that it’s important to have a mixture of new episodes and reruns because there aren’t enough episodes to run straight through from September to May.

This is the last break of the season. When the show returns in May, it will be for four weeks of new episodes straight in a row. The finales of all three shows will air on Wednesday, May 24. It’s one of the latest finales on all networks.
