Charity’s runner-up Joey is the new Bachelor. He gets a second chance at love, but when will The Bachelor 2024 begin on ABC?

The end of a season of The Bachelorette brings us the news of who the next Bachelor will be. This is usually someone from the current season, although there have been changes in the past for various reasons—such as the pandemic delaying filming.

Charity’s season of The Bachelorette stuck to the traditional pick. Her runner-up, Joey, is getting another chance to find love. There’s no doubt that Joey is adorable and deserves this chance, and we’re certainly here ready for the search.

When will The Bachelor 2024 premiere?

All we know right now is not to expect the new season of the flagship Bachelor Nation series until 2024. The fall lineup includes Bachelor in Paradise, which sees a few familiar Bachelor Nation and Love Is Blind faces.

Over the last couple of years, we’ve seen this series air in January. That’s what we’re expecting this year. Filming is likely going to take place between September and Thanksgiving, allowing plenty of time to edit the footage and bring us the premiere around the end of January.

There’s no reason for this not to happen at this moment in time. The SAG-AFTRA strike doesn’t affect reality shows. The contestants and the leads are all under a different contract, and while the terms are definitely not fair, the union hasn’t called for a strike just yet. That could change, but probably not this year, so it shouldn’t affect the filming of The Bachelor 2024.
