Bachelor Nation is further expanding. It’s time to see the over-50s get another chance at love with The Golden Bachelor.

Bachelor Nation has been focused on people finding love in their 20s or early 30s. There’s been a lot of focus on spending the rest of their lives together, but what about the older generations? There are plenty of people who either haven’t been married yet, have been married and divorced, or are widowed.

ABC has decided to expand Bachelor Nation. We’re getting the first Golden Bachelor, and we got to meet him during the Men Tell All special of The Bachelorette 2023. His name is Gerry Turner, and he’s ready for this journey to find love.

When will The Golden Bachelor series premiere air?

ABC made it clear that fall 2023 would be made up of an unscripted lineup. This was a strike-proof offering, and it’s clear that this isn’t going to change. The Golden Bachelor premieres this fall, but it is moving nights.

The original plan was to air the show on Mondays after Dancing with the Stars. That meant airing it at 10 p.m. ET/PT, and we all know the audience would not have been interested in that. So, instead of switching the two shows around, ABC is moving the new series to Thursdays. It will kick off Thursday nights in what is usually Station 19’s timeslot this time of year.

The Golden Bachelor will premiere on Thursday, Sept. 28. It will be a full night of Bachelor Nation as the new season of Bachelor in Paradise will follow in the two-hour slot afterward. Yes, this over-50s spin-off is still only getting an hour of airtime throughout the week.
