It’s time for the Supernatural spin-off we’ve all been waiting for. Where is The Winchesters streaming online?

For a long time, it looked like a Supernatural* spin-off wouldn’t happen. There were a couple of attempts during the show’s 15-year run, but they all failed. I’m still salty about Wayward Sisters not happening. Well, Jensen Ackles found a spin-off that the network and fans liked.

The Winchesters is a prequel series. It follows the untold love story of Mary Campbell and John Winchester. It’s definitely untold as the show already looks like it’s going against canon. Ackles knows this, and apparently, the show will get back on track with canon at some point. It will be interesting if and how that actually happens.

For now, you’ll want to check out the new series. Where will it stream online? When can you get it on DVD and Blu-ray?

Where to stream The Winchesters

The new series airs on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW in the United States. Viewers in Canada will need the CTV Sci-Fi Channel. That’s not surprising considering that’s the channel Supernatural aired on.

Streaming afterward is pretty simple. The episodes will be on The CW App in the United States. You’ll want the CTV App in Canada. Both of these are free, and they are both ad-supported.

Will the series come to Digital? You bet it! The series is a broadcast one, and they always head to Digital the day after new episodes are released. It can take up to 24 hours for each episode to drop.

It is worth getting the full season at once. While the episodes aren’t all available yet, they will automatically add to whatever library you choose.

What about the DVD release? This is going to happen, but it’s going to take some time. It will be once the full season airs.

We know there are 13 episodes to the series. That suggests it’s going to wrap at some point in early 2023, so the DVD release could happen before the summer. It will be September 2023 at the latest.
