The Super Mario Bros. Movie is now in theaters, but it will head to a streaming platform soon. Which platform is it going to be?

Are you ready for a movie with the whole family? There is no doubt that The Super Mario Bros. Movie is going to be the one for all. Those who love the original game will find some excellent nostalgia, and kids will just love yet another animated movie.

Not everyone wants to head to theaters to see this. And it does end up being expensive for big families. The great thing about movies now is that they head to streaming platforms. That’s certainly the case for this one. The downside is you won’t be able to watch it in 3D, but at least you can enjoy the movie at home.

Which streaming platform will The Super Mario Bros. Movie go to?

Is this latest release heading to Netflix? What about Prime Video? It’s not going to either of them. At least, not right away.

This is a Universal Studios movie, which means it is going to Peacock first. The good news is that it will only take around 45 days for the movie to head to Peacock. There are times that it can take a little longer if it’s performing very well in theaters, but most of the time, the 45-day window has been consistent.

After Peacock, it heads to Prime Video. There isn’t a set time frame for when it goes to the second streaming platform, though.

This is only in the U.S. It’s not clear where it’s going first in Canada.

Will the Mario movie come to Digital and DVD?

What about a Digital release? You may want to buy the movie on Digital to watch whenever you want at home. This is where we have some great news. You will be able to buy The Super Mario Bros. Movie on Digital in the future. It will be available on Amazon Instant Video, iTunes, YouTube, and anywhere else you buy movies in this way.

And yes, we are expecting it to come to DVD and Blu-ray. This is probably in around three months time. You’ll be able to stream it online before owning it on physical disc at home.
