If there’s one show we’re waiting to hear more about, it’s Carnival Row. Is Season 2 even going to happen? What’s going on at Prime Video?

In August 2019, Carnival Row* debuted. It brought us an interesting story of the fae in a Victorian London-esque world. The series was renewed ahead of the first season, and that’s all we’ve really heard since.

Okay, we know the second season started filming. Then the world shut down with the pandemic. Filming was delayed, but eventually, the cast and crew managed to get to work. Filming reportedly ended back in September 2021, and that’s been it. We know nothing. It feels like we’re in the wrong universe!

Will Carnival Row Season 2 come to Prime Video?

It’s clear there are still plans to bring the second season to Prime Video. Amazon didn’t “unrenew” this series, which is something that happened to a few shows due to the pandemic. We saw The Society on Netflix and Stumptown on ABC cancelled after receiving renewals.

With the work that’s already gone into the series, Amazon is going to want to air it. However, there still isn’t a premiere date.

Rumor has it that the show is going to premiere in August 2022. This would mark three years since the first season. It’s a long time to wait—probably the longest we’ve had to wait for a series and we thought the wait for The Man in the High Castle Season 3 was hard—but the series should be worth it.
