The Irregulars is an excellent binge-watch on Netflix right now, but there’s only one season. Will The Irregulars Season 2 happen?

The Irregulars is a great series that mixed the supernatural with crime solving. Set in the Victorian period, it follows the Baker Street Irregulars, a group of orphans who work for Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson. In the series, they’re pulled into the crime-solving world by Watson and end up figuring out a lot of secrets about something called The Rip and the secrets of Watson, Sherlock, and a woman called Alice.

At the end of the first season, we ended up with a lot of unanswered questions. It’s also one of those shows that offers excellent casting, brilliant writing, and beautiful cinematography. Everything falls into place. So, of course, you want more.

Will there be more? It’s time to look at the hopes for The Irregulars Season 2.

The Irregulars Season 2 is reportedly happening

According to What’s On Netflix, The Irregulars Season 2 is happening. There are reports of Netflix quietly renewing the show ahead of the first season dropping.

While this is unusual for Netflix, it’s not unheard of. Bridgerton Season 2 and Cobra Kai Season 4 are among the quiet renewals only confirmed once the seasons ran on the streamer. It’s entirely possible that Netflix had a lot of hope in the series (possibly due to the interest in Sherlock Holmes?) and opted to give the greenlight on the second season without waiting to see how the public would react.

The decision is a smart one if it has happened. The first season of the series had its production schedule pushed back due to the coronavirus pandemic. To help reduce the wait between seasons, renewing the show quietly was a better option than waiting to see the reaction.

A Study in Scarlet: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery ($)

Filming is set to take place in the summer in Liverpool, where the first season was filmed (despite being set in London).

It’s great news for fans of the series. After all, we need more from the bunch of misfits who make the perfect team.
