Wynonna Earp canceled: Will end with final half of Season 4
It’s sad news, Earpers. The last six episodes of Wynonna Earp Season 4 will be the last. SYFY has chosen to end the series.
In a way, the news isn’t that surprising. The series faced some serious financial difficulties due to its production company, IDW Entertainment. In the end, Cineflix stepped in to save the day financially to avoid it ending abruptly after the promise of a fourth season.
At the time of the financial problems, there were rumors that Wynonna Earp had been renewed for a fifth season. Those rumors were never confirmed, and it looks like that wasn’t the case after all.
Despite pulling in modest numbers in the live ratings, this show has remained a cult hit. It has a large and vocal fanbase that is certainly not happy with this decision. Neither are we!
While not surprising, it is disappointing. This is one of the only scripted shows left on SYFY. Now all hope is on Resident Alien to be renewed. Wynonna is also a progressive and inclusive series that has one of the best lesbian relationships goes. We need more WayHaught!

Wynonna Earp Season 4, Part B gets a premiere date
Fans will remember that only six episodes of the delayed fourth season aired during the summer of 2020. After the delays in getting started, the pandemic then led to filming being put on hold. Splitting the season in two parts was the best way to tackle the problems.
The final six episodes will now serve as the ending to the story. Whether it’s going to work as a series finale is another thing. We’ll have to wait and see.
There isn’t long to wait for the episodes. Wynonna Earp Season 4, Episode 7 will air on Friday, March 5 at 10/9c on SYFY, according to TVLine.
There are six episodes, with the finale airing on Friday, April 9.
It is a sad day, but we’ll show our support until the very end. Hey, maybe Netflix or Amazon can step in to save it. Please?
