Netflix has a habit of canceling the shows we love after just one season. What about XO, Kitty? Will there be a second season?
Doesn’t it always seem the case that Netflix canceled our favorite shows? There is always the argument that there aren’t enough viewers. Really, Netflix has a problem of offering too much content. Quality is better than quantity.
So, when the To All the Boys spin-off series, XO, Kitty, debuted, we were a little worried. Would Netflix decide to cancel it after the first season, or would there be enough fans from the movie series (and the books* the movies were based on) to keep the series going?
Is XO, Kitty renewed for Season 2?
There is some excellent news for fans of the series. Netflix has agreed that we need more. According to TVLine, Season 2 is officially happening.
The first season saw Lara Jean’s younger sister head off to a school on in South Korean. It turns out that her long-distance boyfriend is there, and it should be a time for love, right? Kitty is only 16, after all. Well, it is time for love…a love triangle.
While there, Kitty starts developing feelings for Yuri. Well, she also got into some trouble and has ended up being expelled from school. That’s where we left things, and now we need to see how it’s all going to play out.
While the series has been renewed, we don’t know when it will drop on Netflix. A series like this could be relatively quick to film and get through post-production. We saw The Summer I Turned Pretty on Amazon get a 13-month turnaround time. So, we could see XO, Kitty Season 2 arrive in June or maybe July 2024.
